Minimum technical requirements for using the Spinoco desktop application

Before rolling out Spinoco to your team, confirm each end station meets the minimum network, firewall, hardware, and browser requirements below. Meeting these requirements helps ensure reliable call quality, accurate transcription, and smooth performance across voice and digital channels.

Network

Each end station needs a stable, preferably wired broadband connection. As a general guideline, plan for at least 100 kbps up/down per concurrent call, latency under 150 ms, and packet loss under 1%.

Firewall

Outbound access must be allowed for the following protocols and destinations:

Protocol

Destination

Ports/range

HTTPS

31.186.190.64/28

31.186.190.80/28

31.186.190.96/28

TCP 443

STUN

31.186.191.32/27

31.186.191.64/27

31.186.191.96/27

UDP/TCP 3478

STUN/TLS

31.186.191.32/27

31.186.191.64/27

31.186.191.96/27

TCP 5349

S/RTP, S/RTCP

31.186.191.32/27

31.186.191.64/27

31.186.191.96/27

UDP 10000-20000

Note: Palo Alto firewalls have direct support for Spinoco. Use the Spinoco Application profile in Palo Alto firewalls instead of configuring these rules manually.
Note: To make and receive calls, STUN, TURN, SRTP, and SRTCP must be enabled at minimum.
Note: For other digital channels (email, chat), HTTPS 1.1 must be supported at minimum (HTTPS 2.0 recommended). Encryption for HTTPS requires TLS 1.2 at minimum to be supported by the firewall.

PC hardware, browser, and operating system

Use an up-to-date, vendor-supported browser with WebRTC enabled, meeting at least the following specification for the Spinoco application:

Resource

Minimum

Recommended

CPU

1.6 GHz, 2 cores

2.2 GHz, 4 cores

RAM

4 GB

8 GB

Hard disk

4 GB

8 GB

Display

HD (1280x720)

Full HD (1920x1080)

Note: Full HD is strongly recommended, especially where digital channels (email, chat) are used, since 1:1 resolution scaling is required for comfortable use of the application. These figures are for the Spinoco application only — running other workloads on the same PC may require a higher specification.

Headset

Use a wired or USB headset with a noise-cancelling microphone. This supports call quality and improves transcription accuracy.
